The Right Mindset
Follow-up is ministry-not admin.
1. People are not projects
Follow-up is about care, not checkboxes. Don't treat people like tasks-treat them like souls Jesus died for.
2. Be prompt, but be personal
Timeliness matters, but so does tone. Make each message warm and real. Use their name. Reference your last interaction.
3. Consistency over complexity
Use the Teínō app regularly, even if it's just one or two updates a day. Small consistent actions build strong systems.
4. Faith, not formula
Teínō is a tool. The Holy Spirit is the real guide. Stay prayerful and let God lead your follow-up efforts.
5. Remember the goal: discipleship
We're not just aiming for return visits-we're helping people become followers of Jesus. Keep eternity in mind.
6. Follow through matters
Don't just start strong-finish strong. Make sure every person is walked through the next step, not left wondering what's next.
7. Give grace generously
Not everyone will respond quickly-or at all. Be patient. Love people where they are, not just where you want them to be.
8. Celebrate progress
When someone gets baptized, joins a group, or takes a step forward-celebrate it! Share it with your team. Momentum builds motivation.
9. Train others to care
Don't carry the follow-up burden alone. Teach your team how to care, connect, and respond with wisdom and heart.
10. Pray over every name
Before you send that message or make that call-pray. Cover them. Ask God to open hearts and give you the right words.
